National Recovery Friendly Workplace Institute

Recovery Friendly Workplace Definition:

A “Recovery Friendly Workplace” (RFW) is a place of work in which the employer, in collaboration with employees, establishes, maintains, and continually enhances policies, practices, and a culture and work environment that are supportive of current and prospective employees in recovery from, or otherwise affected by, substance use disorders.

Today (September 18th, 2024) the White House is hosting a roundtable of employers who are currently in the National Recovery Friendly Workplace Institute application process of becoming certified,  Oracle, Shaw Industries, Gorilla Glue, UAW, The Flight Attendants Union and others are among the group.  Fors Marsh and HRCI will share their top-line data from their new Survey of HR professionals on RFW.

We had hoped for a public link so all of you could attend via zoom but that is now not possible.  The meeting will be recorded and as soon as we can have access will post the link.

Thank you all for supporting this work in your communities and with our Institute.
